In sign-making, adhesives are rarely the star of the show. Yet few things cause more frustration on the workshop floor than bonds that fail, cloud, distort materials or require switching between multiple products to get a job finished.

That was the problem Sign Trade Supplies set out to solve with STYKRA® 360, a high-performance, crystal-clear structural adhesive designed specifically for today’s sign-makers. Since its launch last year, STYKRA® 360 has gained strong traction, with customers increasingly adopting it and seeing tangible improvements in speed, finish and reliability.

Built for modern sign-making

STYKRA® 360 is a structural MMA adhesive that delivers strong, dependable bonds across the full range of materials commonly used in signage, including Perspex, metals, wood, plastics and composites. Crucially, it does this without the heat associated with some bonding methods, which can cause rippling or warping on visually sensitive sign faces.

Its optically clear, zero-gap finish makes it particularly well suited to transparent applications, where any clouding or visible adhesive line would compromise the end result. With a fast bonding time of just four to five minutes, it supports efficient production without forcing compromises on alignment or accuracy.

“For a long time, sign-makers have had to keep multiple adhesives on hand to deal with different materials and applications,” said Neville Spurgeon, founding director at Sign Trade Supplies

“STYKRA® 360 was engineered with those frustrations in mind. Customers wanted one solution that worked across the board, without sacrificing strength or appearance.”

Neville Spurgeon, founding director at Sign Trade Supplies.

Practical benefits on the workshop floor

Beyond bond strength, STYKRA® 360 has been designed around real-world workshop conditions. Its low-odour formulation creates a more comfortable working environment, while the smooth, low-pressure trigger action helps reduce hand fatigue during longer jobs.

There is no need for a primer, allowing teams to move more quickly from preparation to production. Once bonded, the adhesive offers strong resistance to UV exposure, salt, water and chemicals, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor signage. It also performs reliably across a wide temperature range, from -55°C to +125°C.

For sign-makers working on everything from acrylic lettering and birch ply displays to ACM trays, built-up letters and point-of-sale units, this versatility reduces the need to stop, switch products or rethink workflows.

From concept to customer use

Rather than a high-profile lauch, STYKRA® 360 has been introducd with a focus on real-world use. Customers are now integrating it into everyday jobs and reporting cleaner finishes, fewer material issues and faster turnaround times.

“With STYKRA® 360, we’re offering a smarter way to bond materials,” Neville said.

“It’s about making the job easier and more predictable, particularly on projects where finish quality really matters.”

As sign-makers continue to balance speed, quality and consistency, products that quietly remove friction from the process tend to earn their place on the bench. STYKRA® 360 appears to be doing just that, providing a single, dependable adhesive solution for a wide range of modern sign-making applications.
