We cut signs & a whole lot more!
Sign Trade Supplies was founded in 1990 as a trade supplier of sign materials. Since then we have expanded our services from sign related products to fabricated items such as flat cut letters, folded ACM trays, edge polished acrylic plaques and more.
We have also opened our trade CNC cutting service to other industries including the interior fitout sector, facilities management and civils industry to bring our reliable trade CNC services to business across the UK.

Flat Cut Sign Letters
Flat cut, also known as fret cut letters are some of the most popular items we fabricate in our workshop. Used to make eye catching installations across the UK Our flat cut letters are available in a variety of materials including:

Edge Polished Acrylic
We have both diamond edge polishing, flame polishing and also laser cutting equipment to create a full service polished acrylic offering. Our most popular acrylic items being custom size acrylic plaques with wall mounts. The custom size acrylic blanks can be instantly priced and ordered directly on the website.
Folded Tray Signs
Over the years tray signs have become a more popular option for fascia panels and shop displays. By adding a return to standard sign blanks the display can make a much bigger impact. Our folded trays are manufactured from aluminium composite and are available to our local van area or for collection.
Birch Ply & Wood Conversion
Our birch ply products have been very popular in recent years. The sign making industry has been adopting sustainably sourced wood for interior sign and display uses along with other industries including interior fitout, furniture makers and interior designers.
Sheet Conversion Services
Along with our flat bed CNC router, we also have a Striebig Control Vertical sheet saw. Also fully computer controlled for accuracy the Streibig wall saw is perfect for converting mass sheeting into finished sizes. Used daily in our workshop, the vertical wall saw cuts through foamex, acm, wood, solid aluminium and acrylic providing a very flexible substrate range.

How big can you cut ?

What trades do you supply?
Predominantly we provide CNC cutting services to the UK sign making industry. However the sign and display sector overlaps with so many different industries we have worked with a number of companies in:

Can I supply my own materials?
On the most part we CNC cut from our own stock sheeting. As an approved distributor of Perspex acrylic. We carry a good stock of options for you to choose from.
However we do cut from free issue material.
Can you send the cut items?
We currently supply the whole of the UK with CNC cut products. We do have a limit on the size we can deliver through a standard courier network. However we can also provide a price for a direct delivery to deliver your oversize / high value items.
What is the maximum thickness you can cut?
The maximum thickness of sheet we can convert is 50mm. This gives us a flexibility to handle almost all standard thickness sheet materials including:
- Acrylic
- ACM
- Aluminium
- MDF
- Plywood
- Foamex / PVC Foam
- Polycarbonate
- Polypropylene

Can you cut stainless steel?
We do not currently convert stainless steel sheeting in-house. However we have partnered with some local metal fabrication teams that work alongside us to allow us to provide a competitive full service offering.
