Bolt Together Baseplate Sign Post Kit (Grey Powder Coat Option)
The 4-Bolt Round Base Post Kit is a high-strength, easy-to-install post system designed for installing permanent outdoor signage onto concrete surfaces where post foundations cannot be dug.
The bolted baseplate is perfect for installing post and panel signage in car parks, train stations, industrial parks and town centres where it is impossible to dig deep post foundations due to reinforced concrete pads or structural integrity.
Supplied as a complete kit, it includes everything required: unique aluminium post profile, 300mm diameter baseplate, high-tensile structural bolts and aluminium cap. The kit arrives and just requires an 8mm allen key and PZ2 screwdriver to put together.
Once assembled, the post can then be bolted to the ground using M12 through bolts (not included).
Available post height: 1000mm, 1500mm, 2000mm, 2500mm and 3000mm Post diameter: 76mm round Finish: Grey powder coat
Key Features
Kit contents: 76mm aluminium post, 300mm diameter baseplate, 4 high-tensile bolts and aluminium cap (through bolts for fixing not included).
2.5× stronger than welded aluminium baseplates* – Independently tested and verified.
Clean appearance – No visible weld lines for a smooth, professional finish.
High-tensile structural bolts – Provide secure, durable fixing.
6005A high-strength alloy – Combines excellent strength with corrosion resistance.
No webbing required – Simplifies installation and reduces components.
Independently strength tested – Validated through structural analysis and load testing.
*Based on independent analysis comparing the 4-bolt round base to a welded aluminium baseplate under equivalent loading conditions.
Mounting Guide for installing the bolted baseplate sign post.
Check installation location for any underground services before drilling.
Mark each drilling location through the holes in the baseplate onto the concrete surface.
Use a hammer drill with a 12mm masonry bit and drill to the same depth as your anchor bolts.
Clean out the dust in the holes and insert the concrete anchor bolts.
Place the baseplate over the anchor bolts and total the nuts using a spanner or socket set, Ensuring the.
Welded Baseplate Sign Post (Black & White Powder Coat Option)
The 76mm welded baseplate is available in white and black powder coat. This option is not supplied with the bolt together baseplate system. Instead the 10mm thick aluminium plate is welded tothe post.
Each 76mm diameter aluminium sign post has a 300mm diameter x 10mm thick aluminium plate structurally welded to the bottom. The plate has four pre-drilled fixing holes at 13mm diameter ready ready to accept M12 anchor/through bolt fixings.
Many car parking signs, facilities management sites and private business parks will require a sign to be installed without the ability to dig traditional post foundations. As a solution for this we offer aluminium posts with a welded flange base plate for surface mounting.
How to install a sign post into concrete?
Installing a sign post into existing concrete or other hardstanding surfaces requires a lot of time and effort and the use of an industrial breaker to dig the hole for the post foundation.
Instead, we recommend using a welded base plate post to surface mount onto the existing surface. The welded base plates have 13mm diameter holes ready for M12 anchor/through bolt fixings which means just four holes per base will need to be drilled into the surface..
When to use an sign post with a baseplate?
Welded flange plate posts are a brilliant choice when installing small wayfinding, informational and safety signs in an area that already has concrete surfaces. Baseplate posts are often used in car parks and business parks where digging holes is not a possibility.
How tall can a sign post with a welded baseplate be?
We recommend that surface mounted sign posts should not exceed 3000mm without a structural calculation and added structural supports welded on.
What fixings should be used to surface mount a sign post?
For installing the baseplate posts onto a concrete, paved or tiled surface, we would suggest using M12 Through bolts of an appropriate length. These are specifically designed for structural fixings into solid, non-cracked concrete foundations. For surfaces such as tarmac, other fixing methods such as resin fixed studs may be required.
