Sign Trade Supplies recently undertook a trade sign making project for Signs Direct. With a tight deadline and high quality end product demanded, our in-house manufacturing team got to straight to work!

The specification required multiple, large monolith signs to be made to from aluminium composite paneling. The monoliths also required fret cut lettering to allow for internal illumination.

Utilising our large format CNC router, we began precision V-grooving the 3000 x 2000 mm aluminium composite sheeting to create highly accurate bends and corners on the monolith trays. We then reinforced and bonded the sheets into their tray forms

Next the team moved on to installing the LED components to ensure an even light pattern across the face of the fret cut panel. The LED components were bonded to the trays with double sided tape ready to be wired into a power source on installation.

Once all the monolith trays were fabricated and the bonding glue fully cured the trays were substantially packaged to protect the signs on route to their destination. Once received, Signs Direct installed the the monoliths on site to a high standard and applied the finishing touches to reveal an impressive, high impact display.
