ImagePerfect™ Opal Frost 7801R (Formerly IP5801R) is a transparent, matt calendered PVC with a removable, solvent-based adhesive that is suitable for use on a wide variety of clean, dry surfaces.

It will be primarily used as a decorative film to create an etched (engraved) effect on windows or glass panels in architectural enhancement and advertising/display installations in locations such as retail environments and lifestyle business environments (bars, hotels, restaurants, casinos, theatres, etc).

It will also be used for glass conspicuity for personal safety in locations with high footfall, such as shopping centres and educational establishments. The specially-formulated, flexible film has consistent matt levels and it can be cut easily and weeded quickly and the high-quality, PE-coated liner further promotes excellent layflat, cutting and weeding characteristics.

The removable, solvent-based adhesive creates a reasonable final bond to ensure a secure finish during the product life cycle whilst retaining removability. If removed within 2 years of installation, it will peel cleanly from glass with no adhesive residue (assuming a suitably cleaned and appropriate substrate).

For digital conversion, it is compatible with eco solvent, solvent, latex and UV-cured inks, to which end it will deliver high levels of print quality. Please note though that, when printed, because of the crystal effect in the film, it will not produce dark tones with as much regularity as would be the case when a “standard” monomeric film is otherwise printed. Before production, to ensure suitability, we would recommend a print test. In application, the film will absorb 14.0% of visible light / transmit 86.0% of visible light.
